SAY HELLO TO

SUPER DOOPER KIDS BOOKS

Pat Mitchell has always been a dreamer, so when her beloved dog, Super Dooper, passed away in 2020 at fifteen-and-a-half years of age, she had an idea to create Super Dooper Kids Books in his memory.

A series of four books produced in a limited-edition quantity, each story stars animals who go on adventures where they face challenges, fears, successes, and smiles while hopefully teaching young readers a positive and inspiring lesson or two.

Pat loves helping her favorite charities raise money. She invites a few of them to join her Super Dooper Kids Books dream so that every shining penny, 100 percent of all proceeds, goes directly to them. Additionally, Pat publishes enough books so she and her partners can give plenty away to children.

The first book in the series was published four years ago. Pat loves the fact that the story she imagined fourteen years ago is the book in the hands of readers today. Goes to show dreams really can come true!

Creating Super Dooper Kids Books fits perfectly with the life of Dooper, who was more than just a family pet. Together, they were Super Dooper Dog Training for over fourteen years and a therapy team for almost as long.

Dooper taught dogs how to visit near wheelchairs, ride in elevators, and politely say hello to people, especially kids. As a therapy dog, his favorite thing was snuggling next to kids in their classrooms as they read their favorite books to him. This inspired Pat to write the kind of stories that Dooper would have loved hearing.

Pat lives in two small towns, Park City, Utah, and Harbor Springs, Michigan, with her husband, Dirk, and their wonderfully friendly cat, Esther, who they adopted after Dooper passed away.

In May 2025, Pat and Dirk were ready to get another dog. Matilda, a really, really small, sweet and feisty, one- and-a-half-year-old, English Setter joins the family. She

is a rescue dog from Greece! Matilda came to them via New Beginnings International Sporting Dog Rescue, a wonderful group in America which saves English Setters from the country of Greece and brings them to the United States for people like Pat and Dirk to foster and/or adopt.

Hmmm, anyone sniff a fifth book coming and a new book partner? We will all have to wait and see!
